(Company No. C-98421), registered at Marina Portomaso, Suite 402, Vjal Portomaso, St. Julian's STJ 4011, Malta, acts as Data Controller for all personal data processed through curivoquest.yachts under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (Chapter 586 of the Laws of Malta).

We process data provided directly by clients when requesting yacht charters or marina berth reservations, including:

  • Full legal name, passport information, nationality, and birth dates (for maritime crew clearance and passenger manifests).
  • Contact details including phone numbers, personal email addresses, and residential/corporate addresses.
  • Financial transaction records and banking credentials strictly required for MYBA charter contracts and security deposits.
  • Special dietary requirements, medical preferences, or accessibility demands shared for charter personalization.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data under the following legal frameworks:

  • Contractual Necessity: To fulfill yacht charter agreements, harbor master filings, and port immigration compliance.
  • Legal Obligation: To comply with Maltese anti-money laundering (AML) protocols and maritime customs verification.
  • Legitimate Interest: To maintain security standards, defend legal claims, and refine user experience across our digital portal.

4. Data Retention and Security

All personal data is encrypted using 256-bit SSL protocols during transit and storage. Passenger manifests and financial logs are retained for seven (7) years to fulfill statutory auditing requirements enforced by Maltese Tax Authorities and Maritime Directives, after which they are securely scrubbed.
